Tikva Jacobs MD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and an Assistant Attending Surgeon in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Board-certified in vascular and general surgery, Dr Jacobs’ clinical expertise is in the treatment of venous disease. Her focus is on the individual patient; developing a personalized treatment plan utilizing state-of-the-art and minimally invasive equipment and techniques to provide optimal cosmetic results while alleviating discomfort. 

Biographical Info

Dr. Jacobs is a Board Certified Vascular Surgeon and a Board Certified General Surgeon.  She received her M.D. from George Washington University Medical Center in Washington, D.C., and graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College at Columbia University. Dr. Jacobs completed her general surgery residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.  Following her residency, she continued her career at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where she completed a fellowship in vascular surgery and was an Attending Surgeon.  Prior to joining the Division of Vascular Surgery and the Comprehensive Vein Program at Weill Cornell Medical Center she was in private practice on the Upper East Side, where her focus was on cosmetic and medical treatment of varicose veins and venous disease. 

Dr. Jacobs is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the American College of Phlebology.  She has published in academic vascular surgery journals and textbooks and is a speaker at conferences and seminars on the treatment of varicose veins and venous disease.
